BRIAN KURTZ
Brian Kurtz served as Vice President of Boardroom Inc., for over 25 years and as Executive Vice President since 2001. Mr. Kurtz is responsible for the mailing of over 50 million pieces of third class mail a year and the distribution of millions of other impressions in a wide variety of alternate media using the most innovative direct marketing creative in the industry.
As well as his work inside Boardroom, he has also outsourced his unique knowledge of the industry, actively participating in direct marketing education. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, an avid contributor to the trade press and a regular guest lecturer for the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation.
He also eagerly participates in courses at colleges, universities and various direct marketing programs. In 1989, he even taught a full semester undergraduate course in direct marketing at his alma mater, Rutgers University. He serves as a Trustee of Direct Marketing Educational Foundation. He is a member of the DMA Ethics Operating Committee. In 2000, he was inducted into the DMA Circulation Hall of Fame and in the same year voted List Leader of the Year. Mr. Kurtz graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers in 1980 with a B.A. in English and departmental honors. And while he holds no graduate degrees, he has been mentored and trained by some of America’s most respected direct marketers including Dick Benson, Martin Edelston, Lee Epstein, Dave Florence and Gordon Grossman.
